Couples Therapy

What is couples therapy?

Couples therapy is all about- figuring out the cycles you are stuck in & developing new changes to help your relationship thrive. Sometimes you may feel like each other is speaking different languages & I am here to help bridge the gaps to find if you can align more with each other.

As a Gottman L1 trained couples therapist & poly-knowledgable clinician, I have extensive knowledge in supporting couples with many different topics (see below). We can create a collaborative space that leads to more authentic results.

I utilize an eclectic array of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, attachment theory and Gottman researched topics & skills to cater to each couple’s unique “language”. This allows for each couple to learn their patterns and dynamics they want to transform.

If you are looking for a clinician who is well versed in non-traditional relationship dynamics such as ENM, Poly-systems counseling I might be a good fit for you! I have been providing polyamorous informed relational counseling to people for over 5 years.

What to expect

A Safe Container

We create a non-judgmental space where all partners can feel heard and respected. This safety is essential for honest dialogue and lasting change.

Your Timeline

Couples therapy is typically 12-20 sessions, though many couples continue longer. We adjust cadence based on your goals and needs. Discernment counseling is a more condensed style of therapy for those who are wanting to address potential life changing decisions.

Practical Tools

We teach communication techniques, individual regulation skills and conflict resolution strategies you can use immediately and long-term.

Understanding Patterns

We help you see the patterns that keep you stuck—and more importantly, how to break them and build new ways of connecting.
